Hello from Hamad International Airport, Doha.
While this is the first time I'm visiting Qatar, this trip is also special because my parents are going to be joining me for the entire duration. Not so surprisingly, it's their first trip here too.

We stay at the Oryx Rotana in Doha and I plan to visit the newly opened City Centre Rotana too during my time here. Good to catch up with the Rotana family in this part of the GCC.

But first, I wait...

I arrived at 2:20 am in the morning and will be joined shortly by my parents (arriving from Oman) at 9:00 am. The great thing about whiling away time at the airport is that it's real swanky, has comfortable seats, plug points in the floor and a generally airy feel. That too, only judging by my experience in the Arrivals area!

Hopefully this shouldn't feel long. On the other hand, can't wait to get out and explore the city...
